Most dental exams focus on what’s visible. Ours goes further.
At Elite Dental & Wellness, your comprehensive exam is designed to give you a complete picture of your oral health not just your teeth. We use advanced diagnostics including CBCT 3D imaging, airway assessment, TMJ evaluation, and saliva and microbiome testing to identify patterns early and build a care plan that’s specific to you.
This isn’t a rushed checkup. It’s the foundation for care that actually supports your long-term health.
Your exam goes beyond a standard checkup. We look at how your teeth, gums, jaw, airway, and daily habits all work together. Before any treatment is recommended, you’ll have a clear, complete understanding of your oral health and what your options are. No pressure, no rushing, just honest, thorough care from the start.
CBCT (Cone Beam CT imaging) gives us a detailed three-dimensional view of your teeth, jaw, bone structure, and airway that traditional X-rays simply can’t provide. This level of detail allows us to identify issues earlier, plan treatment more precisely, and make decisions based on a complete picture of your oral health rather than a flat, two-dimensional snapshot.
Digital X-rays give us a clear, detailed look at changes in your oral health over time while using significantly less radiation than traditional film X-rays. We use them to catch small concerns early, track changes between visits, and make sure every care decision is backed by accurate, up-to-date information.
Most dental offices never test your saliva. We do, because the bacterial balance, pH levels, and composition of your saliva tell us a great deal about your cavity risk, gum health, inflammation levels, and overall oral environment. This information allows us to build a care plan based on your actual biology, not just what we can see on an X-ray.
Your airway affects more than your breathing. Restricted airflow has been linked to poor sleep, teeth grinding, jaw tension, and chronic fatigue. During your exam, we evaluate your airway structure and breathing patterns to identify any issues that may be contributing to these symptoms, many of which go undetected in a standard dental checkup.
Jaw pain, clicking, headaches, ear discomfort, and teeth grinding are often connected to how your jaw joints and bite function together. Our TMJ evaluation assesses the alignment, movement, and muscle tension of your jaw to identify imbalances early, before they develop into more complex problems.
Oral cancer is highly treatable when caught early. As part of every comprehensive exam, we carefully evaluate the soft tissues of your mouth, throat, and surrounding areas for any changes or abnormalities. The screening is quick, painless, and one of the most important reasons to keep up with regular dental visits.
Your first visit is a conversation, not a commitment. We’ll take the time to understand your health history, answer your questions, and give you a complete picture of your oral health before any treatment is discussed.
